ADX
Marketing Director (2010-2012)
At ADX, I helped build a community of thinkers and makers. ADX was designed to resemble a gym for fabricators: the membership-based space included a fully-tooled wood and metal shop, flexible building space, a CNC router and laser cutter, class facilities, event space, and more. As a startup company during the recession, it was crucial that the facility launch swiftly and that its resources were clearly marketed to those who would immediately benefit from access to tools and creative space.
I developed the omnichannel marketing strategy for this “makerspace” and design facility from its inception. Not only did I design and execute all digital, social, and traditional media campaigns and events, I was also the face of the company for visitors, partner organizations, and prospective members.
Behind the scenes, I researched and initiated business operations, including selecting membership software, operating POS systems, and leading staff communications. I also coordinated a college-credit intern program and acted as mentor.
Working at ADX felt electric; there was always a partnership event to plan, new equipment to promote, and opportunities to build something truly collaborative from the ground up.
